To heaven and Back: Weekend in Malta

My Weekend in Malta was fabulous. Such a beautiful warm sunny getaway. Cheap and amazing country. It's such a must-visit place!!!

We got in late on friday night, checked into our hostel, and quickly made friends.

Then we headed to paceville which is the place to go out in Malta. It was so MUCH fun!

We woke up on Saturday in not the best form, to say the least....

So we had to rally to the best of our ability and headed to the blue lagoon on the north side of the island.

Luckily, it was incredible. Beyond beautiful. You can just wade into the water and its the perfect temperature!

We tanned and sat, then went exploring and cliff jumping.

After that we paid only 10 euros to go on an awesome tubing adventure!
Ridiculously fun. We couldn't get over saying how this was the best.day.ever

We brought a bottle of malibu and finished it overlooking the water in the last of the sunny hours. It was literally amazing. I just can't....

It ended with a boat ride back to the island (which got pretty comic after a bottle of malibu....)

then a bus ride and another night out!

We made some awesome friends that night! There were SO many wonderful people staying at our hostel.

The next morning with railed together 3 of them to join us for a day of hanging out at the beach again. Gotta soak up the sun while you can!
Sun and some beers. A good day. We caught a flight out that night, and cannot WAIT to go back!

What a fabulous weekend all around!

SUMMER RECAP: The Pink Palace, Corfu Greece

HAPPENING IN JULY/AUGUST 2013

After Berlin I flew to Corfu Greece and started my adventure at the Pink Palace

I HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME AT THIS HOSTEL! ACTUALLY!

I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. It is SO much fun!!!

The staff is amazing! The facilities are out of this world. The location is beautiful. Everything is great!

The first day there I went on the booze cruise! AH-mazing but not many photos. We did do some incredible cliff jumping though!

The second day I went 4-wheeling which was also incredible. This island is beautiful. The tour guide for the quad safari was an awesome young greek guy who was so sweet

Then I spent a few days sitting on the beach just chilling.

The Palace is amazing, They have 4 bars (reception, dinner, palladium, and beach). They serve breakfast and then a sit down dnner every day included in your room price. And they have a giant beach bar to hang out in and a private beach with chairs. Then they also had their own night club that you can party at almost every nigh with awesome club music.  They announce every night at dinner what they want to do for their party that night. Sometimes its beach bar (full moon party, traffic light party, etc) and sometimes in Paladium (toga party, cross dressing party, just regular club night). I can't describe how amazing this is in words...  its a magical place!

It was very hard to leave.

The palace is across the island from the main city of Corfu but they will pick you up and drop you off anywhere you need to go which makes everything so simple and easy. I spent one day wandering around the old town of Corfu which I really enjoyed as well! It's beautiful.

But nothing comes even close to how incredible the palace is...

i dream of going back....

SUMMER RECAP: Return to my favorite city on earth

SEPTEMBER 2013

Last summer I fell in love with Interlaken Switzerland. And this summer I got to go back. After my stay in Rimini I trained my way up and through italy to arrive late and night on Friday in interlaken. It still has not changed one bit and just stepping outside puts tears of joy in my eyes. I cannot get enough of the amazing city.

SUMMER RECAP: Climbing the same mountain 3 times

 SEPTEMBER 2013

I had a whole saturday to "kill" alone in interlaken. My friends did not get in until Sunday. So what did I decide to do? Well I wanted to do something active and close by and accessible. So I decided to climb hyder klum which is a mountain right above interlaken. You don't have to take a lift or anything you just get right on at the far side of town. So I wandered around and then climbed up.

But this was funny because this is the exact same climb I did the year before with my friend lucy. So I was climbing the same mountain twice.

Oh well can't hurt right? Let's do this!

It took me about 3.5 hours round trip and was a very nice hike!

So then it gets better. The next day my friends were getting in around 12:00. And it was then that I realized they would count on me to show them around and with only a half day our only viable option would have to be, again, harder klum.

So that, is how I ended up climbing the same mountain 3 times.

At least the view is worth it right?
